WH1602D is a 16×2 STN character display module from Hualing Optoelectronics, featuring an integrated ST7066 IC.

It supports 5V voltage drive and can also be modified for 3V negative voltage drive. Multiple backlight combinations are available, including amber-green, blue, green, white, amber, red, and RGB color backlighting. LEDs can be driven via PIN1, PIN2, or the A/K pin. The integrated ST7066 IC offers multiple character library options for customer selection, including English/Japanese, Western European characters, Eastern European characters, Scandinavian European characters, Cyrillic (Russian), and Hebrew/Arabic. This module also offers optional SPI/I2C interfaces, though this requires switching to the RW1063 chip. For built-in Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese character sets, please select the graphic version WG14432D.
