The Winstar WH1602B is a highly popular 16x2 character LCD display module in the market, featuring a built-in ST7066 controller IC or equivalent with a default 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface. The WH1602B series includes multiple interface options: WH1602B (6800 interface with ST7066 IC), WH1602B1 (4-line SPI interface with RW1063 IC), WH1602B2 (6800 interface with ST7066 IC and a thickness of 10.0 mm), and WH1602B3 (I2C interface with RW1063 IC). Key features of the WH1602B1/B3 models include a two-line (2 x 16) character display, compatibility with 5V or 3V power supply, and support for high-level functions via Winstar IC, while also allowing direct access to low-level controller functions for advanced control.
